Crosslake case studies demonstrate our
proven track record of driving value for clients.
After 14 years of successful partnership with Visma, Europe’s largest provider of cloud-delivered SaaS solutions for core business applications, lead investor, Hg, sought to grow its stake in the company even further. Crosslake served as sell-side technical advisor, performing technical due diligence to support the transaction – considered the largest-ever software buyout globally, with an enterprise value of $12.2B US.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation set out with an ambitious goal: to change the way the world's unbanked communities access money. Current digital payment systems exclude those in developing nations and those living in poverty without bank accounts and smart phones. The Foundation engaged Crosslake to lead a team of developers from four separate companies to build the Mojaloop framework — an open-source solution enabling users to send money across multiple financial providers from a non-smart phone with low fees. Today, the Mojaloop Foundation continues working to expand financial inclusion globally.
As part of the due diligence process for Eon Health’s investor, Crosslake found that Eon's cloud-based platform far exceeded industry benchmarks for information security, business continuity, software architecture and other key areas. After securing $16M in growth equity funding, Eon Health sought to accelerate their rapid growth and enhance their market presence as an industry leader.
Eon referenced their Crosslake TechIndicator® scores as credible, expert, third-party validation of the quality of their information technology, information security and infrastructure – reinforcing their position as an industry-leading provider of patient management and care management platforms.
Clunky procedures for scheduling appointments were taking staff away from patient care, and this behavioral health client knew they needed predictive analytics that their current systems could not provide.
Crosslake first looked for an available, off-the-shelf solution, but found nothing that fit the client's specific requirements. Ultimately, our team decided to create a custom cloud solution that ingests flat files from the health center's legacy system. The ingested files trigger serverless compute processes that scrub and correlate the data and perform both short- and long-running predictive analytics tasks, as well as pure statistical BI calculations, flowing easily into the organization's workflow.
What used to take hours now takes just a few minutes – allowing the medical team to access the most current data and analytics to ensure the best patient outcomes.
This 200-employee software company needed to increase code velocity and improve quality.
Crosslake worked with the team to redesign the build and test systems for Windows 7, implementing feature team branches and pre-integration quality gates. The solution allows the client's team to release a quality build on a daily basis, with external weekly releases. Best of all, blocked development days have been all but eliminated.
Contention from external sources was affecting the performance of the Azure-hosted, cloud native software used by clients of this leading transportation and logistics company.
Crosslake started with a full-stack, comprehensive assessment of the client’s technologies on Azure to roadmap their SDLC. Our team identified and mitigated bottlenecks and consolidated processes to be more efficient. Then, we streamlined their ML and BI environments by redefining workflows and leveraging existing data sources.
In addition to providing their clients with a more reliable and stable experience, our client is benefiting from reduced IT and excess data costs. Plus, they're now set up to scale effortlessly!
Crosslake helped this enterprise organization with 880 employees accelerate their CI-CD pipeline, reinforce quality and transform the roadmap of future deployments with a new platform and model that allowed our client to:
– Improve cycle time by 1,600%
– Exceed roadmap estimates by 100%
– Accelerate service creation by 40X
– Deploy 10 times more often than before
This client was struggling with many disparate, on-premise systems that were tied together with manual processes — and the technical debt load was preventing them from expanding.
Crosslake analyzed the entire application stack, as well as organizational roles and functions, and made a plan to replace applications with cloud-native versions. We stood up a public cloud message bus, wrapped the existing on-premise technologies in standardized APIs and linked the existing application ecosystem through messaging patterns.
With the client is still in the midst of legacy system replacement, they are now capable of growing in parallel. Our rational cloud migration approach has greatly reduced risk of failure and data loss and minimized the impact on business activities as the team continues to replace the remaining legacy systems.
Crosslake was brought in to assess regression test suite coverage and test automation strategy for a multi-national enterprise ERP software provider with 3,200 employees. Our team conducted a current-state assessment detailing test coverage gaps and presented a short-term plan to increase regression coverage, a longer-term test automation strategy and quality metrics for future releases.
After engaging Crosslake to execute on the proposed strategy and roadmap, this client saw substantial quality improvements within the first quarter.
Rendall & Rittner's finance team was spending more than 150 hours each week reconciling invoices, matching payments to landlords and issuing payment requests to clients across more than 700 accounts. Crosslake delivered a custom process automation solution using data science methods to extract intricate details from client invoices and automatically enter them into an auditable database.
The solution has freed up the finance team to work on more productive, high-value, strategic tasks – saving the business more than £60,000 in the first year.
Bidfood was ready to embrace data science – but first needed to assess their existing capabilities and identify data projects aligned with their mission-critical goals. Through stakeholder workshops, document collection and product demos we collected and analyzed details of Bidfood's strategy, systems, processes and data sets.
We pinpointed six areas of improvement to boost Bidfood's data science readiness, provided a risk assessment highlighting potential obstacles on the data science journey and used our Data Readiness Scale to gauge Bidfood’s current readiness compared to other businesses.
The manual verification process used to verify identity and credential documents for new healthcare professionals joining the Doctari recruitment platform was unscalable, creating an increasing backlog that prevented the business from growing. Following a feasibility study to ensure the process could be automated, our team built a bespoke platform to streamline the tasks with high accuracy and speed.
The Crosslake solution delivered 87% accuracy, exceeding the target of 60%. Not only did this reduction in manual work drive a dramatic savings in both time and costs, but Doctari was also able to scale more quickly, creating significant value.
Horizon Care was challenged in making data-driven decisions, as the critical data required for meaningful insights was being collected and stored across a patchwork of third-party products and applications supporting a diverse range of business functions. After identifying the source systems for all necessary data points, our Build team seamlessly communicated via platform APIs to extract, process and ingest data into a consolidated database for monitoring and reporting. As a result Horizon Care reduced the time spent on manual reporting and gained a deeper understanding of operations across the organization.
Members rely on Nisa’s Order Capture System (OCS) to keep their shelves fully stocked, so the system is expected to be resilient, fast and always available. With only a small in-house IT team, Nisa needed help creating a state-of-the-art solution that could keep pace with ever-increasing order volumes. We designed a next-gen e-commerce platform leveraging a resilient .NET framework and re-engineered the system to integrate seamlessly with Oracle, ensuring that members can continue to place orders – even in the event of a catastrophic failure.
The OCS handles 100% of Nisa’s orders – more than 3,000 orders daily – and electronically processes 98% of Nisa’s £1.4 billion in annual revenue. With advanced features and tailored catalogs, the OCS is optimized for mobile and tablet usage, providing a portal that is robust, stable and highly extensible.
Legacy software and architecture made it difficult for Pets at Home to develop and release new features for their e-commerce platform in response to changing customer needs. Our Build team assembled a dedicated team to assume development of their e-commerce environment – reducing technical debt, improving release velocity and quality, and introducing Agile practices.
Having since reclaimed the reins of their e-comm, Pets at Home has adapted quickly. Making changes to the site is no longer a bottleneck, and revenue has increased through new, custom-built site features.
Chose2, a multimedia and design software company that leverages deep-fake technology in a video face-swapping product, needed something businesses could use within brand sites or applications to generate top-quality videos at scale, quickly and cost-effectively. The project spanned these phases:
From proof of concept to final product, the Crosslake Build team reduced the video generation time by 70%. Chose2’s website provides a glimpse into the video quality of the product they brought to market, and a third-party Well-Architected Review validated the product’s exceptional architecture.
After a number of recent mergers, this technology-enabled automotive logistics and services company saw the possibility for greater vertical integration and cross-sell opportunities. But outdated architecture and siloed data stood in the way of realizing their vision. Crosslake helped them modernize their approach so they can easily leverage data insights across the organization.
